‘Maharashtrachi Apsara’ Sonali Kulkarni and ‘Mumbaichi Mulgi’ Malishka react on ‘weighty’ ‘Dancing Queen’

These days ‘weight’ has ‘gained’ a lot of importance, maybe unnecessarily. Many believe that anybody’s talent is more important than his or her’s weight. To prove that ‘weighty’ people too can dance beautifully and elegantly, Zee Yuva has introduced a new ‘weighty’ reality show ‘Dancing Queen’.

The weighty dance reality show ‘Dancing Queen’ from Maharashtra recently came to meet the audience. With an unique concept, the show has broken all stereotypes and presented an energetic show. For the first time, ‘Maharashtrachi Apsara’ Sonali Kulkarni and ‘Mumbaichi Mulgi’ Malishka will be seen in the judge’s chair. Advait Dadarkar will be the host of the event and a total of 16 ‘weighties’ are ready to entertain the audience. Their performances are more energetic than expected. So the audience is curious to know more along with the contestants and examiners in this show which is guaranteed to entertain the audience.

The journey of all these weighty contestants on the stage of the Dancing Queen is not at all easy.  So to show the audience how their dance started and their journey so far, Zee Yuva has brought a special program ‘Dancing Queen Unlock’ on Monday and Tuesday at 8.30 pm.

The audience will get to see a lot of interesting things happening behind the camera, such as the preparation of the contestants at the rehearsal, the juggling with the choreographer, the on-set fun of the contestants with the examiners. Zee Yuva will present this special programme and in the first part of Dancing Queen Unlock, judges Sonali Kulkarni, Malishka and show host Advait Dadarkar will be seen talking about their favourite contestants.

According to Sonali, Dipti Nair, one of the sixteen dancing queens, says that she thinks she is a show stopper. So Apurva Undalkar is a special contestant for Advait because he knows her from college days. Advaita has seen her journey from Ruparel College from a thin girl to this large size. Advait claims that she used to dance very beautifully even when she was in college and even now she is dancing in this ‘weighty’ size.

Another judge of the show, Malishka, too, while praising the dancing queen, said that dance is not only for girls with slim and flexible waist but also for girls of all sizes and that is why I enjoy judging the show. The show “Dancing Queen” has started with a strong response recently and now it is accompanied by a weekly episode of “Dancing Queen Unlock” which will show the fun or behind-the-scenes stories of the show.
