Makers of ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ drop a love song ‘Baharala Ha Madhumas…’!

At every twelve miles Marathi language and its dialects change, flaring up the different culture, customs, and signs of language. At times MyMarathi is soft, while it turns tough at another turn; it is sometimes mischievous and at times cryptic. ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ comes up with a contradictory texture of Marathi language in one of the songs from the film. The love song Baharala Ha Madhumas…depicting the sweet love story of Shahir Sable was released on the occasion of Marathi Language Day on February 27.

Birth Centenary of Krishnarao Ganpatrav Sable, akka Shahir Sable who sung Jay Jay Maharashtra Majha… the song which was recently announced as state song is being celebrated across the state. A biopic named Maharashtra Shahir is being produced and is set to release on April 28 this year. The song ‘Baharala Ha Madhumas….’ released on Monday, takes forward the curiosity created among the film-goers because of the innovative things related to the film being revealed since the film went on the floor.

On one hand, the language represents Bhanumati who is from the upper middle class Marathi family and is articulate in the literature, while on the other hand the hero KrishnaraoGanpatrao Sable akka Shahir Sable who represents the uncouth, primitive texture of the culture and language. The two different colours and cultures of the language have been revealed in the love song released on Monday. The song released represents the era of 1942 but captivates the youngsters from 2023.

Penned by leading Marathi lyricist Guru Thakur, the song Baharala Ha Madhumas….has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Ajay Gogawale. Ajay-Atul has composed the song as music director of the film. The film stars Ankush Chaudhary and Sana Shinde in lead roles and the film is written by veteran writer and director Pratima Kulkarni.The film ‘Maharashtra Shahir’ is presented by Everest Entertainment and Kedar Shinde Productions and produced by Sanjay Chhabria and Bela Kedar Shinde.

“It is a love song depicting the intense love story of Shahir Sable and his better half and great life partner Bhanumati. My grandfather Shahir was a young art-lovinglad from Satara, while my grandmother Bhanumati was a well-versed urban young girl. The two came together with a common thread of art and lived like made for each other. Baharala Ha Madhumas…depicts their true love story. The lyricist and music composers have done their job fantastically to bring out the best of it,” said Kedar Shinde, Director of the film.
