Migrant Workers Detained In Delhi After Interaction With Rahul Gandhi:, The Police Says “Received Directions” To Do So.

New Delhi: The Congress on Saturday claimed that some migrant labourers were taken in preventive custody soon after their interaction with former party president Rahul Gandhi.

The police said they took the workers into custody as they “received directions” to do so.

It cannot be verified at the moment if the police acted in such a fashion. Hindustan Times has reached out to Delhi Police for their comments on this allegation.

Rahul Gandhi, dressed in a white kurta and black trousers, with his face mask on can be seen interacting with a group of migrants. The Congress leader, sitting on the sidewalk, is seen holding a conversation with the group, which has a few women, children and men.
