Mitaali Nag confesses, “I am always in a good and romantic mood during monsoons”!
We have six different seasons in India— spring, summer, monsoon, autumn, pre-winter and winter. While some love spring, many enjoy winter and there are others who connect with the monsoon more. Aashiqana 2 actor #MitaaliNag shares that her favourite season is monsoon and she explains why.
“I love how green it becomes during the monsoon. The two months of rain work like magic on me. I am always in a good and romantic mood during that time,” she says.
Winters are here. But Mumbai, unfortunately, gets little or no winter at all. Nevertheless we enjoy the season to the fullest.
“I like winters in the mountains, especially where it snows. Or else, I am not much of a winter person. I feel very cosy during winters. For me, it’s more like tucking myself in the quilt and watching my fav series. Though one can look most stylish in winter outfits but we have to attend weddings during that time and the entire show of the outfit gets spoiled because we have to wear coverings,” she adds.
About her favourite holiday destination, she shares, “So far I have visited only Indian holiday destinations during winters. Though Kashmir is the ultimate winter holiday destination, my favourite place is Ladakh. Also, Gulmarg, Pehelgam in Kashmir usually transforms into heaven during this time. But when you visit Ladakh, you get to witness snow and sun and even a desert. Plus wide and clean roads, waters that look pristine and keep changing colors. It’s divine!”
Actors in the entertainment industry hardly get any long holidays. So, most of them prefer short getaways.
“A lot of times when we go for outdoor shoots and the location is a tourist spot or around a tourist spot then it becomes a work cum leisure trip for us. That way I feel actors are blessed. But I make sure that I take vacations at least once a year with my family. And if the schedule is not too tight then we get leaves or the vacation is planned at the last minute around the time we have a break in terms of the storyline not revolving around us,” she continues, “Mumbai is surrounded by hill stations like Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Matheran… where one can do fun activities and relax as well. Most of the people I know opt for Goa for a short getaway as it’s not too far and gives you the feel of a proper vacation.”
