Monica Bedi says, “I am completely a copy of my father”!
“My father’s name is #PremKumarBedi. And just like his name, he is full of love. There’s a lot of learning I have got from my father. I am completely a copy of my father. From my looks to my nature, everything is definitely from my father. He has always told me that one should be a giver in life. And not by his words, but by his actions, he has shown us that he is the biggest giver in life, and not with the intention of getting anything back. He gets immense happiness in giving and would never spend money on himself. He always helps people with schooling or medical care. And the second thing he told me was to never think that anyone is smaller or bigger than you. Because everyone is on the same page. Never be afraid of anyone. Everyone should be treated equally with respect,” says #MandiraBedi. She adds, “He makes sure that he comes here on my birthday. Since he’s retired now, he spends six months each in Norway and India. He continues to travel between #Punjab, #Mumbai, and #Delhi.”
Talking about her Father’s Day plans, she says, “He isn’t here so I would wish him over a call. I always ask him what he wants on Father’s Day but he never tells me and never accepts gifts and instead tells me to donate it to the needy for me. I feel he is so blessed because of this.”
Talking about all that she has learnt from her parents, she says, “My father has his own business. He owns retail outlets that he now rents. I’ve always been encouraged to develop my independence by both of my parents. However, I count myself extremely fortunate that my father has always had my best concerns in heart. He gives me a lot of support and is my biggest inspiration.”
