Monsoon fashion fundas from &TV artistes!
Changing seasons call for fresh fashion. To embrace monsoons without compromising on the style quotient, #&TV artists Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, #BhabijiGharParHai), Mouli Ganguly (Mahasati Anusuya, #BaalShiv), Sapna Sikarwar (Bimlesh, #HappuKiUltanPaltan) and Akansha Sharma (Sakina Mirza, #AurBhaiKyaChalRahaHai?) revamp their wardrobes and shares their best-kept monsoon fashion fundas.
Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “My favourite season is the monsoon, and I enjoy going for walks in the rain. As a result, I always go for a practical wardrobe consisting of cropped pants and crop tops, t-shirts with cotton shirts, tube tops with midi skirts, and wide-leg trousers. Wearing a scarf is the ideal alternative for looking stylish and protecting washed hair from the rains, which is one of my very cute monsoon fashion hacks. When the rain starts to pour, I can put it around my neck and swiftly wrap it around my head.”
Mouli Ganguly, aka Mahasati Anusuya in & TV’s Baal Shiv, shares, “Monsoon is all about good vibes, having a good time and bright colours make it look even more lively. For me, loose shirts, Kurtis, and oversized jackets are ideal. Off-shoulder or trim-sleeved tops are my go-to attire. Also, my colourful umbrella is a staple must-have throughout the monsoon. When it comes to makeup, I go for the waterproof range by just sticking to sunscreen, waterproof mascara/eyeliner, and a lip balm.”
Sapna Sikarwar, aka Bimlesh in & TV’s Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Rains are usually unpredictable, and cotton is the most trustworthy and safest fabric for monsoons since it does not get damaged by moisture. Rain marks are more visible in light colours. Therefore I choose dark colours that may be paired with neutrals, colourful pinks, blues, oranges, and yellows. Besides these, this season is great for lounging on the balcony sipping hot coffee in your most comfy attire”.
Akansha Sharma, aka Sakina Mirza in & TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai?, shares, “It will be weird to choose to wear ethnic when it’s raining, as it’s less manageable than a typical t-shirt and pants combo. Still, all I do in the monsoon is customize my ethnic looks, like pairing a kurta with cropped straight-fit pants or black leggings that fall slightly above the ankle. I always go with a darker or brighter hue and a slightly relaxed silhouette, which suits my kurta. Keeping it casual and light can sometimes be the best style statement for me”.
