Motivation song ‘#TirangaTumLeheraoge’ by #SujoyMukherjee and #SunilKapoor for the Indian Sports Ambassadors at #TokyoOlympics!

In a country of 1.30 billion population we are unable to win huge number of medals at any International sports competitions, including Olympics. The sports policy should be revised so as many young people start participating in sports and excel in it. Winning medals will be the next step. Also whoever is taking up sports seriously should be encouraged and sportspersons selected to represent India should be motivated. Actor-Producer-Director Sujoy Mukherjee along with Sunil Kapoor floated an idea of making a motivational song for the Indian Sports Ambassadors at Tokyo Olympics.

Sujoy Mukherjee and Sunil Kapoor have come up with a Motivational Song for the Indian Sports Ambassadors at Tokyo Olympics titled ‘Tiranga Tum Leheraoge’ (Mission Tokyo) which has been released on Red Ribbon Musik. Incidentally the said song is being released on Sujoy Mukherjee’s maternal grand-uncle Kishore Kumar’s 92nd birth anniversary. Another interesting connection between Sujoy and Tokyo is that his father’s one of the most successful films was ‘Love In Tokyo’ and at the moment Olympic Games are in progress at Tokyo. Moreover his directorial short film ‘Zindagi Anmol Hai’ too fetched an award at Tokyo film festival.

Sunil Kapoor, who has sung the song, said, ‘It is a harsh truth that most of the sportsmen and women who are a part of the contingent of 127 representing India at Tokyo Olympics have come from a very humble back ground. For example Hockey Captain Rani Rampal’s father is a Rickshaw puller and other girl’s too do not have a flashy background. Having said that it is our duty as citizens of India to encourage the participants to give their best irrespective of the results. Our PM has also been motivating them. The paradigm and the concept behind making this video is primarily to inculcate the feeling of patriotism and fervour not only in Team India but in the countrymen too. Lots of sponsors are available for Criicket but not many come forward to support our athletes. We are absolutely sure that even coming from a humble background our youth is capable of doing much much better in Olympics and such other events in case they are provided proper training and diet and of course encouragement. We, through this song and video, have tried our best to support and motivate them so that they display indomitable courage with unflinching zeal and perform well.’

Sujoy Mukherjee’s earlier motivational song during corona pandemic times last year, Hamara Hindustan’ was well received and the ruling political party had shared it on their official social media handles. He completed ‘Tiranga Tum Leheraoge’ (Mission Tokyo) in just a few days, composing, recording, filming, editing et al. Shooting of the song took place in Filmalaya Studio with actors who were part of his web film Nachaniya.

Shankar Movies in association with Joy Mukerji Productions has released a new motivational song Tiranga Tum Leheraoge (Mission Tokyo) which is produced by Supriya Mukerji, Sunil Kapoor and Sujoy Mukherjee.
