Mukul Abhyankar “I Like To Make Bloodless Thriller Movies”

Mukul Abhyankar tell me about your latest film?
I am very fond of thrillers film, I am very fond of Hitchcock’s but unfortunately what happen the life become so passy and because of that even the thrillers went on to passer and the editing patterns changed and specially in India I have realized that somewhere people things that thriller is incomplete little violence its more that who done it. I like to make bloodless thrillers and that film is my tribute to hitchcock’s I consider myself as one of his greatest fans so the film has great space but it has narrated the hicthcock’s it has lot of twist and turns and this film would have been incomplete without great actors and that’s why I waited till I got actors of my choice because we were planning to shoot in Mauritius where normally no crime take place so that’s why we need the time to make them on board so finally I had got Manoj Vajpayee, Tabbu and Anu Kapoor on board.

How do you convent them?
First of all I had very sound producers backing me Niraj pandey wonderful director he was absolutely convinced with the script so he wanted any how some how to be this film for him then there was Vikram malhotra also ,So they had love the script and they immediately contacted with his wish list and this was the three name which was common in both the list actually made a silent list from our side so there were few commercial names and there were few two blue actors and surprisingly our link match so we immediately contact the actors and the moment you go to the actors with bounce script the dialogue.

How many days you short the film?
We short the film very fast its incredible because my actors gave me practically 24hr of the day to shoot the film and I had taken them because we know that they are great actors but what shocked me on the very first day most of the time they work it start in the afternoon and ends by 9.30 approx so I have major portion the day in the film so that’s why we decide to shoot from 7.0’clock in the Morning to 7.0’clock in the evening and sudeep chaterjee and me gone a long way, Sudeep also started his carrier almost at the same time as I did we have done lots of television best thrillers and I didn’t have to say sudeep anything so we had requested actors to come 7.0’clock in the morning in Mauritius.

Did the hoteliers allow you to shoot free?
No! But good part is Mauritius government also Basque the tourism Basque so tend to get some subsidy so that also become very viable thing in all and I have to praise those people such a fantastic co-operation they were more than happy because my film is based in Mauritius, All my three characters are from Mauritius once you see the film you will get an idea and Anu ji is playing a Mauritian corp.

How do you describe the film in short lines?
A couple land very late at five star resort at night and they have a baby girl along with them who is very ill she had 103 temperature fever and mother is worried and ‘Tabbu’ is the mother ‘Manoj’ is the father and they have been asked for take up a nice room and receptionist says that ‘aap ko abhi pata nhi chalega’ but when you wake up in the morning you will get a surprise and mother wakes up in the morning 6.0’clock and she realize that the child is missing from the room and then the film start it goes in some fathomable thing very good narrative very simple story and I can bet that nobody could feel cheated and nobody could feel confused.

Is everything in the film from by you?
Yes everything by me but dialogue I had taken a help from my very old friend but it was more like discussion just pointers and normally I write story dialogue and everything by my own for my every film.

Tell me about something about that interesting face?
Its an biggest project of the year everybody is talking about it so much so Rishi ji was so much into the project, that he had vought to give up alcohol he went to jindle the moment he agreed to do the film he wanted to reduce 17 kilos with this film. I feel very sad for Rishi ji I don’t know that I get down him some well we keep running to pillar to post that time it was fantastic. I mean rahman said yes gulzar sahib said yes Vinod pradhan was doing camera and they were asked for a bigger debut I m not fond of stars and anything but something must be true because after that I singed many film because somehow but thankfully it don’t let me down because I really gone into huge frustration and one could have depression because it is not easy to fathom that kind of failure the thing not even start and it shut down politically no fault of yours and something must have been planned by him and I don’t keep on writing so I am very proud owner of 12 script and I am sitting on them right now.

How many films would you wish to do?
I would love to do approx 50 to 60 film and the starting is from ‘Missing’ so keep going for the best.
