It will show the story of the journey of the relationship between two sisters in a family. The film, which is a commentary on same-sex relationships, is produced by Amit Malhotra, Kapil Malhotra and Prashant Surana under ES Productions, presented by Akshay Vilas Bardapurkar and Planet Marathi. The film is directed and written by Sai Deodhar and stars Mrunmayi Deshpande, Suvrat Joshi, Resham Srivardhan and Sayli Sanjeev alongside Uday Tikekar, Usha Naik, Sneha Raikar, Varsha Ghatpande, Nikhil Ratnaparkhi, Saksham Kulkarni in important roles.
According to the changing times, nowadays many sensitive topics have started to be discussed freely in the society. Homosexuality is one of them. At present, there are repeated demands in the Supreme Court for recognition of same-sex marriage in Maharashtra, but still the demand has not been fulfilled. However, Planet Marathi is dealing with such a sensitive topic. Even today the middle class family cannot digest this situation. However, if such an incident happens in a normal family, how would that family handle the situation? What they have to face, how the whole family will stay together till the end, is shown in this movie in a lighter way. This is a film that forces you to think about a sensitive subject through comedy.
Director Sai Deodhar said, “In the film ‘Na Aavadati Gosh’, we have brought the highly sensitive topic of LGBTQ to the Marathi audience, and since the subject of this film is sensitive, it was very challenging to present it in a humorous way. This is a movie to watch with the whole family.”
Planet Marathi Head, Founder Akshay Vilas Bardapurkar says, “Planet Marathi has always tackled different topics. We always try to make each topic different from what we have done before. In the movie ‘Na Aavadati Gosht’, the sensitive topic of LGBTQ has been commented upon, brought to the audience in a humorous manner. The film is sure to entertain the entire family.
