National Award winning actor Hansraj Jagtap to play lead in ‘Fanjar’

Marathi film industry is known for it’s content driven cinema. Screenplay play a ‘Hero’s’ part in most of the films. In the recent Corona inflicted period, a lot of people have been awaiting opening of the film industry. Multiple Lockdowns have compelled quite a few films to reschedule their release process. As all the theatres have been closed for almost four months now, a lot of Marathi films are waiting for the theatres to open to have a proper release. Moreover Marathi films are unable to take OTT route due fiscal disagreements.

But the show must go on. A brand new film named ‘Fanjar’ is getting ready which will have national award winning child star Hansraj Jagtap playing the lead role. Hansraj received Special Mention Jury award at the 60th National Film Awards in 2014 for his super role in ‘Dhag’. He has done a few films viz. ‘Rakhandaar, Itemgiri, ‘Ziprya’ and ‘Re Raya’ subsequently. 

Fanjar is being directed by Devadatta Motiram Dhandore. Recently, the first poster of the film was released and Hansraj Jagtap shared this poster on his social media page. Hansraj plays lead role opposite Sampada Chandansive and teaser of the film Fanjar was released on 2nd July 2020 through social media which is being hailed by viewers and industry people.
