Nikki Tamboli spent Republic Day by watching patriotic films!
As Indians, we love two days more than any festival. #RepublicDay which comes as a pleasant reminder of what a great country we live and love. Where 15th August reminds us of the sacrifices and hardwork of freedom fighters, Republic Day instills a sense if responsibility in us to abide by the laws and rules that were set in the new India. Such secular laws that are specially designed for a country of such diversity.
Bigg Boss Fame, actress Nikki Tamboli gives an insight into how her Republic Day looks like. She loves watching Patriotic films and reveals which one is her all time favorite. “I love watching Indian Patriotic movies. Especially on National days, they give a different feeling, that of pride and unity. My all time favorite is Rang de Basanti which is relatable as well as inspiring.”
26th January is celebrated as Republic Day in our country. On this day in 1950, the constitution of our country was formally adopted and India became a fully sovereign state. The fundamental law of the country, the Constitution, was enacted out of the diligence and hard work of great men like Mahatma Gandhi and the numerous freedom fighters who fought and sacrificed their lives for the independence of our country. So, the 26th of January was declared a National holiday and has been recognized and celebrated as the Republic Day of India ever since.
