Nivedita Basu says, ‘Whoever remains in Balaji, always grows and that is the Midas Touch of Ekta Kapoor’!
Today the queen of Indian daily soaps #EktaKapoor is celebrating her birthday and #NiveditaBasu who has worked her for many years wishes her on this special occasion.
Nivedita says,”In the month of March in 2000, I joined Ekta. I remember it took a while to meet her finally. Everyday I was anticipating to meet her and after two months one day I was working at the edits and she rushed to the room and asked who are you? I told her my name and she asked me to edit. And the rest is history. I became the creative head of a show overnight.”
She also adds,” Anyone who has joined Ekta Kapoor has only grown. When I recruited associates at Balaji I used to tell them – the freedom you will get here, you can never get it elsewhere. And when I see people from Balaji being so well placed in many places, I feel very proud of the fact that they trained under me. Whoever remains in Balaji, always grows and that is the Midas Touch of Ekta. That’s why I have always thanked my stars for giving me the opportunity to work with her for 15 years. She is still a friend and I wish her all the best. Even today, everyone wants to work with her – this has not changed in 21 years. I wish that she continues to do a lot of good work for the next 50 years at least! May her life be full of good friends.”
Nivedita is all set to debut as a director in Tandoor which stars Rashami Desai and Tanuj Virwani.
