Nominations for Flyx Filmfare OTT Awards announced!

As the country’s leading entertainment brand, Filmfare, from the house of media conglomerate Worldwide Media is ready to embark on the next journey of celebrating excellence in the OTT space after introducing the first-ever edition of Flyx Filmfare OTT Awards. To mark this momentous occasion, Filmfare hosted a virtual press conference on Thursday, 17th December 2020along with the ever-so-charming actor Kartik Aaryan. Through the inaugural Flyx Filmfare OTT Awards, Filmfare is all set to felicitate the who’s who of the OTT space and set a milestone in recognizing talent yet again. In its first edition, the nominations were selected basis the votes of the audience across an array of categories spanning across various sections of comedy, drama, web-original and critics’ choice for both web series and web films.

While the crime-thriller Paatal Lok bagged a whopping 11 nominations in the Series category, fans of Raat Akeli Haiensured that the gripping murder mystery earned 5 nominations in the Web Original Film category. It promises to be a close contest as stellar actors such as Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpayee, Amit Sadh, Nawazuddin Siddiqui & more are in the race to win the Best Actor Male for Series and Web Original Film respectively. Similarly, Sushmita Sen, Kirti Kulhari, Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte, Sayani Gupta are nominated to win Best Actor Female for Series and Web Original Film. The usual grand ceremonies attached to the brand of Filmfare Awards will be celebrated in a different way in light of public safety and in alignment with COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government. The gala event will be divided into three parts with each category having its own unique celebration all packed in one exciting day. The two popular stand-up comedians, Danish Sait & Varun Thakur will be donning the host’s cap! Known to keep the viewers engaged and entertained, they will lead the audience what’s sure to be an incredible occasion honouring great talent, unforgettable moments, and lots of humour.
