On days when Rohit Choudhary feels low, he indulges in activities that distract his mind!
Rohit Choudhary, an actor-producer-fitness enthusiast, spends almost two-three hours in the gym daily, but when it comes to mental health, he doesn’t take a chance. He shared that on days when he feels low, he indulges in activities that distract his mind. He also stressed that people often forget to take care of their mental health, and said, “I feel mental health is more important than physical health because a healthy mind will help you achieve a healthy body.”
“Often people concentrate more on their physical health because that’s the first thing others notice in them. They train well to maintain their body, take care of their body, but they forget that without a healthy and fit mind, this outer appearance is of no good. A fit mind, a well-balanced mind, will help you succeed, it can make the unachievable achievable for anyone, but an unfit mind will take you to the wrong places. I feel people who go into depression or attempt suicide or even those who get into drugs, I feel they are not mentally strong, and that’s why they succumb to such things,” the “Aamdar Nivas” actor added.
Rohit revealed that on days when he feels low, he tries to do activities other than his daily routine. He said, “When I feel low, I talk to my friends and spend time with my family. I try to change my routine to distract my mind. On some days, I play sports like badminton or squash, because it takes my mind off the things that are disturbing me, and acts as a good distraction.”
He also confessed that meditation helps people uplift their mood and said, “Meditation also helps in destressing. You are away from all the worldly distractions when you are meditating, and you are in your own happy place. It just uplifts your mood.”
“Even in the worst of situations, one should not let their mind wander, and meditation helps in this. They should have control over it because then you make the right decision. And that right decision will make you happy and give you peace,” Rohit concluded.
