On ‘Labour Day’ Ekta Jain celebrates ‘Maharashtra Day’ and ‘Gujarat Day’!

1st May is celebrated across world as ‘Labour Day’. Back home on the same day falls the formation day of two of the most progressive states of Indian union. Maharashtra and Gujarat, the two neighbouring states, celebrate ,’Maharashtra Day’ and ‘Gujarat Day’ respectively on 1st May. Actor #EktaJain celebrated these days in special get-ups.

Ekta Jain, a popular name in the Indian entertainment industry has grabbed everyone’s attention with her incredible work. The actress featured in popular Indian TV shows like ‘Shagun’ , ‘Apun To Waise HI’ and ‘Shaka Laka Boom Boom’. Sticking to her roots, she celebrates every festival with sheer delight. Be it Holi or Diwali or Dussehra, her photo shoots have left the netizens impressed. Showcasing the diversified culture, Ekta had a blast celebrating Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day.

The talented actress took to her Instagram to share different looks in Maharashtrian and Gujarati attire. Besides Maharashtra and Gujarat Day, people celebrate Labour Day on 1st May every year. It is an annual holiday every year in both the states. Interestingly, Gujarat and Maharashtra states were formed on May 1, 1960.

Ekta Jain is attached to both states since childhood because she belongs to Gujarat, and Maharashtra has been her workplace. “These places are close to my heart. I am a resident of Kutch, whereas Mumbai has been my workplace. I make sure to entertain people of both states with my work.”, says Ekta.

Coming back to her distinguished looks, Ekta left everyone mesmerised as she donned a typical Paithani style saree which she paired with a Maharashtrian nath and a topi (cap). Designed by Navinyas Handloom, she looked elegant as she gracefully carried both looks. For the Gujarati attire, Ekta chose a Gujarati saree in the colour combination of maroon and saffron. She completed her look with a bandhani dupatta and jewellery accessories.

In addition, Ekta believes in finding happiness in little things. She says, “Every event and festival should be celebrated with dignity. Maharashtra Day and Gujarat Day have been significant for me for years. Along with it, Labour Day is also a mark of respect for all those labourers who work round the clock the entire year. It is great to see that they get due for their work.”

Looking at her filmography, Ekta has acted in films like ‘Khali Bali’, ‘Zindagi Ek Shatranj’ and ‘Trahimam’. The actress was recently in the news as she walked the ramp for a cause at the Bombay Times Fashion Week organised by Archana Jain’s Florian Foundation. On the work front, Ekta Jain has an array of projects in her pipeline which will be released soon.
