On Mother Language Day &flix brings films in multiple languages!
Love for good films sees no boundaries. Language or Nation- no barriers must stop the witness of masterpieces. In its promise to bring the best of world cinema to the screens of Indian viewers, &flix will celebrate #MotherLanguageDay by showcasing #Hollywood films with various language options. So, start the week with a short binge of films on &flix on Monday 21st February starting as early as 6 AM.
The day starts with the dark comedy Gringo directed by Nash Edgerton and starring Joel Edgerton and Charlize Theron in pivotal roles. Accompany Harold Soyinka in the plan of his abduction. Next in the line is Monster Run– the story of Jimo who can see monsters and joins hands with a monster hunter to fight the evil creatures. Peninsula, set in a time that is a few years after a zombie outbreak in the Korean land will follow in the line-up. The film shows the journey of a former soldier who manages to escape overseas and, in a mission, to go back he meets the survivors. Karate Kid starring the charismatic Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan will be the next. Join 12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) who finds himself in a strange land. In the initial phase of his Karate training, his fighting skills are no match for Cheng, the school bully. Dre finds a friend in Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), a maintenance man who is also a martial-arts master. Mr. Han teaches Dre all about kung fu in the hope that Dre will be able to face down Cheng. Will Mr. Han succeed? Watch Karate Kid and witness Dre’s action-packed journey.
The lineup moves forward with the films- Zombieland, Need For Speed and Hellboy. Zombieland is the story of a shy student trying to reach his family in Ohio who joins forces in a trek across a zombie-filled America. Witness the game of speed in Need For Speed- Fresh from prison, a street racer who was framed by a wealthy business associate joins a cross-country race with revenge in mind. His ex-partner, learning of the plan, places a massive bounty on his head as the race begins. Based on the graphic novels by Mike Mignola, Hellboy, caught between the worlds of the supernatural and human, battles an ancient sorceress bent on revenge.
Gringo, Peninsula and Zombieland will be available with language options of English and Hindi while
Monster Run and The Karate Kid will have options of English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. For Hellboy, audiences will have the options of English, Hindi, Tamil and for Need for Speed options of English, Hindi, Telugu will be available.
