On Superstar Singer 2 sets Alka Yagnik gets emotional!

This forthcoming weekend, Sony Entertainment Television’s #SuperstarSinger2 promises a musical extravaganza with its spectacular display of India’s young singing talent. Celebrating the superheroes of our life in the ‘#Fathersspecial’ episode on Saturday, the contestants will give some heartfelt performances dedicated to their beloved ‘fathers’. Making the episode extra special will be the #EkVillainReturns cast – #ArjunKapoor and #DishaPatani who will be joining the esteemed panel of judges #HimeshReshammiya, #AlkaYagnik and #JavedAli. Along with some phenomenal performances, the contestants, judges and special guests will be seen sharing some most cherished memories of their fathers; making it a memorable evening for all!

Superstar Singer 2’s contestant, Sayisha Gupta has charmed her way into the viewers hearts week on week with her adorable singing and confidence. And, in the ‘father’s special’, Sayisha’s heartfelt performance on the song ‘Tum Dena Saath Mera’ along with her Captain Pawandeep will not only bring a big smile on everybody’s face but will also win a lots of praises.

Additionally, paying a sweet tribute to her father, Sayisha will be expressing her love for her father by gifting him a sash which says, “Best Papa Ever” and in return, he will be seen expressing how proud he is of Sayisha. And, on everyone’s request, Sayisha will also sing ‘Papa Mere Papa’ for her father which will melt everyone’s hearts at the genuineness behind her performance. Not only this, the special guests Disha Patani and Arjun Kapoor will also compliment Sayisha for her exceptional talent and musical prowess at such a young age.

Deeply moved by Sayisha’s performance, a teary-eyed Alka Yagnik will be reminiscing about her bond with her father saying, “Looking at Sayisha and her father’s bond reminds me of my father today. I miss him so much as I lost him very early. The way Sayisha and her father were having the conversation, I got flashbacks of my childhood masti with my father. Sayisha sang this song extremely well, and she looks exactly like her dad and I must say it is her parents’ blessing which has brought her here. I am sure she has a very bright future, God bless her.”
