This Saturday, 17th September, #SonyEntertainmentTelevision ’s most loved comedy show, #TheKapilSharmaShow will host the reigning champions of the #CommonwealthGames2022 – India’s star badminton player, #PVSindhu, Boxing Champion – #NikhatZareen, Lawn bowl team – #RupaRaniTirkey, #LovelyChoubey, #PinkiSingh and #NayanmoniSaikia. After kickstarting the new season on a high note, this weekend #KapilSharma and his naya parivaar will celebrate India’s incredible victory with much galore as they get into a candid conversation with the golden girls and entertain them with some amusing acts.

In a candid conversation, host Kapil Sharma praised PV Sindhu for making the country proud time and again with her accomplishments. He also went on to ask the badminton champion, how do you prepare yourself and if it’s true that she was injured during her match. Responding to this PV Sindhu narrated her story saying, “Yes, during quarter finals there was a little pain. The pain was happening in between the match and I was like I have to complete this match. So after the match, my physio team and my trainer were also there so I told them don’t know what happened but it’s paining a lot. My heart and mind were focused on winning the medal. So, during the semi finale and finale I was only thinking that I have to give my best and I gave my 100% and won the gold.”

PV Sindhu also went on to share how Sachin Tendulkar kept his promise to gift her a car if she wins silver. When Kapil asked if PV Sindhu called Sachin Tendulkar to inform him that she won gold this time, she responded saying said, “He called and congratulated me. Last time I remember when I participated in Commonwealth Games 2014 for the first time, he told me that if I get a medal in Rio 2016 Olympics then he will come and give me a car again. So after getting the medal he ensured he came and presented me the car; and I am really thankful to him as this gesture really made me happy. It’s very kind of him because along with him many people contributed in it. He supported a lot of sports people and this kind of support needs to be there for sports personalities, so that it’s like a motivation for them to go much more further and do well. These kinds of awards and rewards will give a lot more confidence to all sportspersons. I really like cars and I’m very thankful to him that he gifted me a car.”

More such fun anecdotes await you this weekend! Tune into The Kapil Sharma Show, this Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.
