The streets of Malad came alive this Sunday as #MaladMasti2025 kicked off its eighth edition with a star-studded lineup and an overwhelming crowd of over 20,000 people. Organized by MLA Aslam Shaikh, the event has become a beloved tradition in the suburb, fostering community spirit, promoting physical activities, and bringing people together in a digital-free zone.

This year’s theme emphasizes stepping away from mobile phones and gadgets, encouraging residents to embrace the outdoors. Shaikh’s slogan, “Fit and Fine: Do Yoga, Meet Friends,” is a call to action for a healthier and more connected community. Speaking at the event, he said, “Malad Masti is about celebrating life together, away from screens. Let’s get back to the ground, play sports, do yoga, and meet friends. These small steps can bring big changes to our lives.”

A Starry Affair

The opening day of the month-long festival saw Bollywood stars #SonuSood and #JacquelineFernandez promoting their upcoming action-thriller Fateh, which hits cinemas on January 10. Both actors expressed their admiration for the initiative, with Sonu Sood commenting, “Malad Masti is not just an event; it’s a movement that inspires people to connect and stay healthy.”

Adding to the excitement, #AamanDevgan and #RashaThadani joined the festivities to promote their film Azaad, while #KikuSharda had the crowd roaring with laughter with his impeccable comic timing.

The musical highlight of the morning came from #HarshdeepKaur and #NakashAziz, whose soulful and high-energy performances captivated the audience. Nakash even surprised fans by performing the title track of Pushpa 2, creating a memorable moment for the crowd.

Adding to the entertainment mix, actress #GauaharKhan and her co-star #Karan presented their new web series, adding a modern touch to the event.
