Pahlaj Nihalani launches motion poster of ‘Mumbai 3’!
Former #CensorBoardChairman and producer of several #Bollywood super-hit blockbusters, film director #PahlajNihalani who was the #ChiefGuest, launched the motion poster of upcoming Hindi feature film ‘#Mumbai3’ at the Press Club in South Mumbai.
Featuring the bright 14 years old boy Shams Rathod in the pivotal role, this thriller is being made on the underworld and it reflects the reality of the society’s disapproving attitude towards the people living in this area in South Mumbai.
Addressing the media, Pahlaj Nihalani revealed that he had decided to be a part of the poster launch only because of this 14-year-old youngster Shams Rathod who was born and brought up in the infamous streets of Mumbai 3, yet being a part of this infamous area, this talented boy made his own identity in sports.
“My best wishes to the entire team of this film that reflects the reality of present times. I am so impressed with this young boy Shams Rathod who thought of the concept of this film and has researched on the subject which will turn out to be a brilliant realistic cinema to the audience. My best wishes to the entire team associated with the film. I found the motion poster very impressive and the future looks good for Shams, who is gifted with this immense potential,” expressed Pahlaj Nihalani who was all praises for the young boy Shams Rathod stating that he is actually a very good cricketer and his batting style reminded hm of Sachin Tendulkar. .
Mumbai 3, the film’s producer Shahbaz Rathore said, “This film is from the era of 1990 when the underworld existed in this locality. Inspired by the true events of the same era, the film will show the nexus of the politics and underworld that was prevalent during that time. Actually, there is a social message in this film that how even a person living in such an infamous area can achieve something big in his life.”
Playing a pivotal role in the film, Shams Rathod announced, “The story of this film revolves around the situation seen as was seen through the eyes of my father. There has been an extensive research for those people who have done such commendable work, and I don’t think it is wrong to show the reality in the film. I am just presenting the truth in this film. Nowhere it is written in the Constitution that the truth cannot be shown through the medium of film.”
While mentioning that there hasn’t been any film depicting the relations between the underworld and the politicians that was prevalent during the 80s and 90s, the film’s writer Harish Patel mentioned, “We want to convey all those things to the people through this film. The story revolves around characters from the infamous streets of Mumbai 3. Shams Rathore is playing a strong role of a cricketer in the film.
Produced by Shahbaz A Rathod, written by Harish Patel and directed by Priya Rathod, the film has Riddhima Gupta as the film’s leading actress alongside the lead actor Shams Rathod. Also present at the launch were Iqbal ji and Ravindra Arora, while the event was anchored by Rama Mehra. Mumbai 3’s motion poster was screened much to the wide appreciation of the audience.
The film’s director Priya S Rathod revealed that the songs of this film are already ready and that they will actually be shot on the real locations of Mumbai 3. Priya S Rathod was tight-lipped about the rest of the star-cast while assuring the media that it will be announced soon. MUMBAI 3 will be a multi-lingual film that is being made in 4 languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and it is expected to release in cinema halls in the last week of 2024.
