‘Patthar Wargi’ could be a life changing song for me’, wishes singer Ranvir!

Mumbai is called #Mayanagri and hoards of youngsters come to this magic-city to become a ‘somebody’. A youngster after completing his Mechanical Engineering headed straight to Mumbai to try his luck in the music field. He is Ranvir, who has been in the music field for a couple of years now and have sung for couple of singles with music videos. Subah Subah and Kudiye Snapchat Waliye are the two songs and they have garnered plenty of views. Important thing is that these songs made Ranvir get noticed in the musical field. He has sung a brand new song, ‘Patthar Wargi’ which is released through, on the occasion of Akshay Tritiya, T-Series. The music is composed by National award winning music director B Praak while the lyrics are penned by Jaani.

‘Patthar Wargi’ is loosely translated as ‘a person with a heart of stone’, a person who doesn’t care for other’s feelings. ‘The song has a Punjabi-Urban touch and will be liked by the youth. I am always excited for new experiments with my singing. When I received this track I knew it will hit straight to listeners heart specially female listeners’ said Ranvir. He is all praise for the Jaani-B Praak combination as both have always churned out blockbuster songs and music videos. ‘Patthar Wangi’ could be a life changing song for me’, wishes singer Ranvir.

Tanmay Singh, who features in this music video alongside Hina Khan, and Ranvir know each other well and when the idea of Patthar Wargi cropped up Tanmay liked it and both of them started working on it. When it was narrated to T-Series they too liked it and decided to present it. The director of this music video Kamal Chandra had worked with Hina Khan earlier and since they wanted a performer for this song they zeroed in on Hina. Importantly this song is from the point of view of a female character and a lots of emotions are involved in it. Also Hina is a big name and luckily for them she too liked the song and the concept very much and gave a nod for the song. In fact, Ranvir has done all the groundwork as well as legwork for this song.

Ranvir hails from a musical family. His father is a singer and his sisters too are into singing. He has been performing since school-college days at various podiums including Jagrans. He even used to have his own band back home in Delhi. He is very passionate about singing, that’s why after completing his engineering he straight headed to mumbai to make a name in the music field. He is happy that he has taken a right decision and didn’t fall into the trap of campus placements. Ranvir has already been approached for couple of songs but the ongoing pandemic situation is delaying the process.

Pathar Wargi is an emotional romantic song that depicts the girl’s love for her partner. The song is shot on a very beautiful story and a picturesque location. The song summarises to respect your love before it’s too late. The song is produced by Mukesh Sachdeva, Anurag Chauhan and Vinay Gupta under the banner of T-Series. This romantic single featuring Tanmay Singh and Hina Khan is directed by Kamal Chandra. T Series released the song Patthar Wargi on 14th May 2021.
