Philonthropist Margo Cooper closely works with Delhi based NGO, ‘Meals of happiness’!
Miss World Bulgaria 2019 Margo Cooper, who is trying her luck in Bollywood, has been closely associated with ‘Meals of happiness’. It is an NGO based in Delhi that is being run by a woman. Margo talks about her experience of closely working with this organisation and how she got connected with them in the first place.
“I found Anchal Sharma (founder of the NGO) on social media a few years ago when I came to India. I was fascinated and inspired by her story. She is a woman who beat cancer and is now running her own organisation, distributing food to rural areas in Delhi every day. She started all of this by herself,” says the beauty queen who works as volunteer whenever she goes somewhere
Margo , who has a degree in Charity Marketing and has been involved with a philanthropic project called ‘Compassionate Travels’, shares that it was absolutely incredible to meet someone like Anchal in person. The former beauty queen is moved by how Anchal has dedicated her life to help others on a daily basis.
“Anchal did a great campaign during Covid times and was supporting 10000 people. Finally I made it to Delhi to meet her personally and fell in love with her even more. She is one of the kindest human beings I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to join her and her NGO ‘Meals of happiness’ and to visit slums, to meet children, to interact with them and to see their happy faces! These kids are amazing and they need our help to enjoy a happy childhood. Thanks to people like Anchal who are feeding thousands of kids daily so that they won’t suffer from hunger and won’t need to work to earn their daily bread and can go to school instead. The best feeling is to interact with these kids, they have pure hearts and their affection inspires you. I feel lucky to have met them and to be involved with such an amazing cause. I would love more people to learn about ‘Meals of Happiness’ and about Anchal, and support them because as we all know, the one who gives, receives the most,” she ends.
