‘Picasso’ gets a Special Mention (feature film category) at the 67th National Film Awards!

In the recently concluded National Film Awards 2019, ‘Picasso’ got a special mention along with 2 other feature films. Amazon Prime Video recently announced the world premiere of its first Marathi direct-to-service offering ‘Picasso’, and a lot of love and appreciation has poured in from all spheres. The film that present the Dashavatara art form in a relatable storyline has intrigued many locally and globally.
To which the producer, Shiladitya Bora expressed, “It’s a moment of pride and I feel elated to see ‘Picasso’ get so much love, appreciation and recognition it deserves. A special mention at the National Film Awards is the biggest boost of motivation to keep doing the work we have been. I would like to thank everyone who showered ‘Picasso’ with so much love.”
Director, Abhijeet Mohan Warang shared,”Having written this with ambition and whole lot of passion, it really fills me with joy to hear that the film got a special mention at the countries most prestigious, National Film Awards. I feel I’ve done justice to the art form and shown the audiences a story that needed to be told. I’d like to thank each and everyone who loved and enjoyed watching ‘Picasso’. Picasso sets the bar high with its storyline based on an art form called ‘Dashavatara’. Starring Award winning actor Prasad Oak, child actor Samay Sanjeev Tambe, and Ashwini Mukadam, a feel good film that presents a boy’s dream in a relatable way.
