Police Organisation funds ‘Ladli Betiyaan’, based on ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ initiative

In India girl-child was considered a curse till few years back. But education played an important role in changing people’s mindset, as well as, government initiative of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ has created awareness amongst people. But this message should reach to the remotest of places too. B.S. Jogdand who hails from Ambejogai, Dist. Beed, the cultural capital of Marathwada, Maharashtra was moved by the “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign initiated by the Government of India and launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015.
Mr. B.S. Jogdand who hails from the soil of Goddess Ambabai – Yogeshwari, was indeed touched by this initiative and decided to escalate the moment globally through the film medium. The Hindi feature film “Ladli Betiyaan” was flagged off to generate awareness and is now ready to hit the screens and all other digital platforms. The Covid-19 pandemic has indeed put in a spanner in all the movement and as the lockdown eases step by step, this special film will touch the hearts of all and sundry.
“Ladli Betiyaan” is the first of its kind film to be funded by Police organization. Being produced under the banner of ‘Navkiran Films Police Foundation’ and helmed by B.S. Jogdand who has written its story, screenplay and dialogue including the lyrics, the film is directed by debutant Vaishnav Deva who has worked predominantly as a music director in films like “Market”, “Farrar”, “The World of Fashion”, “Bollywood Villa”, “Sorry Daddy” etc, besides music albums with Altaf Raja. He has also lent his hand in screenplay along with Salim Khan.
Miss Northeast, and a model Alankrita Bora from Guwahati, Miss Universe India 2016, plays the titular role. Yash Pandit known for his role as ‘Lakshya’ in TV Series “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” and “Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann” including films like “Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai”, “Rok Sake To Rok Lo” and “Faaltu” plays the male lead. Surendra Pal, Baby Sonia, Harry Josh also feature in it along with Shalini Kapoor. The film has cinematography by Manoj Kumar, Arvind Singh and Kunal Jena; choreography by Sarfaraz Khan and action by Najo Faizal Khan.The film has 6 songs in the voices of Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, Dalia Mitra and Vaishali Made under the musical compositions of Vaishnav Deva who has also lent his voice too. The film has been filmed at the picturesque locales of Mumbai’s Studios, like Film City Studio, Future  Studio, Ambejogai in  Beed, Ram Jhoola, Lakshman Jhoola, Rrishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussoorie and Dhanolti.
“Ladli Betiyaan” has been slated for Diwali release, provided corona-virus permits it.
