Post-lockdown, Aamir Khan in Turkey for shoot of LSC
Laal Singh Chaddha (LSC) is being produced under Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and stars Aamir Khan in the title role with Kareena Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi (in his Hindi film debut) and Mona Singh. Due to ongoing corona virus pandemic scenario it could not meet it’s deadline of Christmas release, this year. Incidentally LSC is based on Tom Hanks starrer Hollywood film Forest Gump.
Forrest Gump is an english comedy drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis and written by Eric Roth. It is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom and. It stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson and Sally Field.
While interacting with media last year, Aamir Khan had announced LSC on his birthday. He shared an anecdote. ‘When I saw Forest Gump, I just fell in love with this film. Tom Hanks has done a marvellous job. I was wondering whether it could be made in Hindi and I casually shared my thoughts with my friends, including Atul Kulkarni. To my surprise, within 10 days, Atul gave me a script which was an adaptation of Forest Gump. I just loved it. Atul’s gesture and his script’ said Aamir Khan.
Laal Singh Chaddha‘s shoot couldn’t complete due to corona-imposed lockdowns. Now the unlock process in underway wherein shoots have resumed here and abroad. Aamir Khan reached Turkey for the next schedule of Laal Singh Chaddha. He is expected to finish shoot of LSC before returning to India.
Laal Singh Chaddha was supposed to release this Christmas, but can not due to corona virus pandemic. It’ll release in April, 2021.
