Post-lockdown, Ganraj Productions completes shoot of ‘’Manache Shlok’

Entertainment industries around the globe came to a standstill, due to Ovid 19 pandemic. Filming of many Marathi films, series, web series was halted. For the last 3 months there’s no shoot happened due to lockdown. Many film releases were postponed as the theatres are closed. With Unlock 1.0 phase, the entertainment industry is crawling back to normalcy.

in a row, the screening of the new film was postponed.  Now, with Unlock, the entertainment industry is back on track. Ganraj Associates, known for producing films like Online Binline, Baghatos Kya Mujra Kar, Mi Pan Sachin, were almost ready with their new production ‘Manache Shlok’. This film is directed by noted marathi actress Mrinmayi Deshpande, and produced by Ganraj Associates and Sanjay Davara Films, remaining two days shoot was wrapped up the moment lockdown was lifted. The film stars Mrinmayi Deshpande and Rahul Pethe in the lead roles. The film’s cinematography is by Abhijit Abde. Prior to the lockdown, some important scenes from the movie were planned to be shot, but the lockdown did not allow the shooting to take place.  As soon as the state government allowed the shooting, the film team decided to complete the shooting with a new layout.

‘We all started working when we found out that the government has allowed filming. After getting complete information about the location of the shooting, I met the district officials and reminded them that we would shoot according to all the rules and we got permission,’ said Shreyash Jadhav, the producer of the film.  Producer Sanjay Davara says, “We are a team, we are all looking forward to completing this film.  As soon as we got permission to shoot, we gave sanitation, gloves, masks to our team and started filming as per the rules.’

I didn’t know when the rest of the filming would be done, but I didn’t want to waste any time, so I had already made half the preparations. We also had a plan on how to set up everything and how to work with less people and so the rest of the filming was completed in two days,” says Mrinmayi Deshpande about her second directing experience.

As per the government rules, the shooting was only 35% of the entire team, so each of the team did the work of 3 people alone. The shooting was completed in Garud Machi village on Mulshi Road. The entire village was sanitized when the filming was completed. During the filming, the actors applied their own make-up. At the same time, before the filming started, all the artists and technicians reached the village and were quarantined for a few days. The filming has been completed by following all the rules of social distance as well as taking proper care of sanitation, gloves, masks.

Even after the film ‘Manache Shlok’, Ganraj Associates has been bringing films with different themes for the Marathi audience.
