Prakruti Mishra says, “Erica Fernandes made me feel comfortable while shooting ‘The Haunting'”!
Amazon miniTV’s spine-chiller ‘The Haunting’ is a classic horror story with a modern setting. The short film is a beautiful exploration of different stages of possession and is a goldmine of terror, tormenting viewers with vengeful spirits. Starring #EricaFernandes in the lead, the short film also features popular Odissi actor and National Award winner PrakrutiMishra.
Prakruti spoke candidly about her experience working in the film and her bond with Erica and Tanveer. She shared, “So my experience of working with Erica was really good. She is a very good co-actor and she really helped me and made me feel comfortable while shooting some scenes and super fun, we chilled a lot while we were shooting. And Tanveer of course is a very dear good friend and is a very good film maker. He did everything very smooth and he knew what he was doing on set that made everything fall very smoothly. So yeah my experience was really cool, working and I had so much fun while shooting for it.”
Describing her character, she expressed her views on how it is similar to her own real self. “My character is called Prakruti and which is also my real name and about two best friends who shift from Bhubaneswar to Bombay and then things start changing. So the character has a lot of fun and quirky elements to it. We actually did a workshop also, so it was basically a little easier for me to adapt because it was kind of matching up with my energy also. It was amazing and we also did a reading before reaching sets that really helped me to understand everything very clearly,” Prakruti said.
Directed by Tanveer Bookwala, The Haunting features Erica Fernandes, Prakruti Mishra and Gul Panag in pivotal roles. The short film is currently available on Amazon miniTV within the Amazon Shopping App and on Fire TV for absolutely free.
