Pratibha Ranta becomes ‘Self-Sufficient’, irons own’s shoot-clothes

With the lockdown gradually lifting and people across the country stepping out into the new normal, shoots of Zee TV shows have kickstarted once again. While this has left all the viewers excited to watch their favourite dinner time companions on the small screen once again, the current scenario does call for extreme precautionary measures to be put in place for the safety of the crew and actors while filming. The makers are pulling out all the stops to ensure that they abide by all the sanitisation protocol and safety measures on set, but they aren’t the only ones going the extra mile. In fact, Zee TV actors are also doing all within their means to maintain hygiene and minimize staff requirenents for the benefit of everyone around. Actress Pratibha Ranta, who essays the lead role of Chahat in Zee TV’s QurbaanHua, is one such case!

Pratibha does not hesitate when it comes to taking up additional tasks for her own personal safety as well as for others on set. From managing her own costumes to her makeup, the actress has truly become self-sufficient in every way ever since her shoot has resumed. In fact, Pratibha is also ironing her outfits as a precautionary measure. Talking about taking up this decision, the Qurbaan Hua actress said, “We have resumed shooting for Qurbaan Hua and we are in close proximity with a lot of things and people, from our scripts to hair And makeup artistes, spot dada, light staff and so on. We are abiding by all the rules to stay safe and reduce close contact but there is a fear and risk of exposure one must live with. So, I thought that we should take even the smallest of precautions as and when we can. Out of the several measures I’ve taken, I’ve also decided to iron my own clothes because our outfits are something we wear throughout the day and I feel it is safe to avoid it from coming in contact with anyone else. It is not that I don’t trust the crew, but I just feel much safer and more self-sufficient this way.”

Pratibha also shared a message for all her fans, as she added, “Tough times call for tough measures and we must ensure we follow the rules to the best of our abilities. Small precautions like washing our hands, wearing masks and stepping out only basis an urgent need can really help maintaining safety at our end.”

While Pratibha Ranta finds innovative precautionary measures on set, she is all set to turn your heads with her fiery act in Qurbaan Hua as Chahat. To watch Neel and Chahat’s journey, tune into Qurbaan Hua starting 13th July, every Monday to Friday at 10 pm, only on Zee TV.
