R Balki’s Chup wins two awards at the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards!

Filmmaker #RBalki is known to give unconventional storylines that resonate with the audience. Some of his best projects include #Paa, #CheeniKum and #Chup. Changing the dynamics, Chup was the only film to be screened to the viewers first before the critics. The film wins big at the #DadasahebPhalkeAwards which were held recently.

R Balki bagged the Best Director and Dulquer Salmaan took home the Best Actor in Negative role. This spine-chilling psychological thriller was loved by viewers and praised for its brilliant direction and path-breaking storyline. After the staggering box office success, the winning streak continued with its release on ZEE5 recently.

“Chup: Revenge of the Artist” is produced by Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Anil Naidu, Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios) and Gauri Shinde. The screenplay and dialogues are co-written by Balki, critic-turned-writer Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani. The film starrs Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Amitabh Bachchan and Pooja Bhatt.
