Rapper Anurag Desiworldwide says, “Rappers should have a unique style”!
Most of us are fond of certain pleasures in life. So is #AnuragDesiworldwide. The rapper, who is known for his songs such as #AnuragBeast, #TheBztRoute, #ShowHellSo, #GhostNotHell, and #Tauba, is very fond of shoes and has an enviable collection.
“Shoes are my first love. It’s not something I started after being a rapper, it was there since the beginning. As a kid as well I was in love with shoes. I got more motivated because Diljit Dosanjh paaji is my idol and has a good collection. I have got more inspired by him. If I see him wearing it and if I like it. I fly to those countries where it’s available and I buy them. Or sometimes I do online shopping.” he says.
Anurag owns 52 pairs of shoes in different colors. His favorite colors and preferred brands are Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Christian Louboutin, and Louis Vuitton.
It is important for a rapper to look right. “I guess the clothes that we wear talk more about us. If you dress like one, people will come to know about who you are and your progress, without you even opening your mouth. On stage, it’s really important to dress your part because that connects with the listeners. Rappers should have a unique style,” he adds.
Anurag is based out of Delhi. When asked about popular rappers in Mumbai and Dubai, he says, “I don’t know many rappers. I am sure there are many underground rappers and mainstream rappers as well. But I have just heard mostly mainstream ones and some underground ones and all of them are an inspiration to me. There is a lot to learn from everyone.”
He feels Indian rappers should be encouraged and promoted rappers in a bigger way globally. This emotion, according to him, is essential for all sorts of art forms.
“Every city, state, and country has many artists, not only rappers, but in every stream, we want people to recognize them. We need more shows and opportunities to perform and reach out to a wider audience. Rapping is a way to express loads of things verbally, with the touch of music. It’s an interesting, flourishing genre that has much scope,” he ends.
