Rasika Sunil makes an International debut with ‘Wild Geese’
Marathi television and film actress Rasika Sunil rose to fame with a serial ‘Mazhya Navryachi Bayko’. In spite of playing an antagonist she was the most popular actor from the serial. Her beauty, her innocence and ability to play the role with conviction cemented her position in Marathi entertainment industry. She also featured in films like, Baghatos Kay Mujra Kar, Bus Stop, GatMat, Girlfriend etc. When her career here was at peak, Rasika took an unexpected step of quitting the most popular serial ‘Mazhya Navryachi Bayko‘. It was disheartening for her millions of fans.
Rasika wanted to learn film making so she joined a famous learning institute in Los Angeles, USA. She studied advanced methods of acting there and featured in an American short film ‘Wild Geese’, trailer of which she shared on her social media handle. It’s been liked by many. In fact Rasika is game for any challenges and hopes to write and direct in future.
About her experience of working in an International project Rasika shares her thoughts, ‘The two-year break was not only for the education. It was for this short film too. I was tensed performing but the unit was very cooperative. I play Venessa in Wild Geese. It was an unforgettable experience while performing on Mary Oliver’s poem’. Her appearance in it is getting huge thumbs up from the netizens.

During the lockdown when she was requested to rejoin the cast of ‘Mazhya Navryachi Bayko’, as Shanaya, she obliged. Now Rasika is once again been seen as lovable Shanaya in this popular serial.
