Review : Ajay Wardhan : Destiny’s child!

It is said that ‘Whatever is destined to happen, will happen’. Destiny plays very important role in one’s life. Everyone faces highs and lows in life and the lows teach one how to overcome difficulties and highs teach to respect the lows. Patience and perseverance are necessary in those situations. But not everybody is mentally strong to combat onslaught of hardships which culminates in a person taking solace in ‘drinking’. Somewhat similar situation is handled in a film #’AjayWardhan’. The film too projects dentistry and showcases that it is no less that MBBS.

Ajay Aryan (Romil Chaudhary), right from the childhood, faces poverty but is always interested in studies. He does all odd jobs, like milking cows and selling milk, so that he can go to school. He is a bright student and gets encouraged by his brother who wants his darling brother to become a doctor so that he can serve people in the village and neighbourhood. Ajay gets admission for a BDS course and shifts to a college hostel from his village. He befriends his roommates who become inseparable later. His classmate Pragati Agarwal (Pihu Sharma) belongs to a rich family. Both start liking each other’s company and later fall in love. But Pragati’s father is against their friendship. Ajay becomes a successful Dental Surgeon but loses his lady love in the process. Why and how, you’ll will come to know when you watch ‘Ajay Wardhan’.

The love story of a poor guy and rich girl is not very new but the director tries to give it a different flavour. The screenplay could have been more crisp to engage audience’s attention. Some dialogues like
“Paani ki boond jab samandar mei hoti hai toh uska koi astitva nahi hota hai, par jab wahi boond patto par hoti hai toh moti ki tarah chamakti hai” are good. Music is passable and the production values are poor. Romil Chaudhary has a good personality and a fantastic voice quality. He should undergo training in acting to utilise that effectively. Pihu Sharma has a good screen presence. Other actors are passable.
