Shri Ganesha

Review: Shri Ganesha – A Heartwarming Father-Son Saga!

Fatherhood often goes unnoticed and uncelebrated, but Shri Ganesha shines a light on the silent love and sacrifices of a father. Directed with finesse, this film delves into the complex love-hate relationship between a father and his wayward son, wrapped in a road-trip adventure that is equal parts entertaining and thought-provoking.

The story follows #SadanandPatil, fondly called Tiklya (#PrathameshParab), a young man serving time in a remand home. When his mother falls gravely ill, his father, Bhausaheb Patil (#ShashankShende), secures his parole, and the two embark on a journey to Konkan. Along the way, they meet Dipali Vengurlekar (#MeghaShinde), a food vlogger who hitches a ride with them. The trio faces unexpected challenges, including a brush with the law due to Tiklya’s mischief. A chance encounter with Dipali’s father, the notorious don Bhai Vengurlekar (#SanjayNarvekar), becomes a turning point for Tiklya, offering him life-changing lessons about love, relationships, and redemption.

This road-trip film is a rollercoaster of emotions, seamlessly blending humor, heartfelt moments, and unexpected twists. The screenplay is engaging, with philosophical dialogues that strike a chord. The director skillfully delivers a powerful message about the depth of a father’s love and the possibility of change.

Prathamesh Parab steps out of his comfort zone and excels as the mischievous yet vulnerable Tiklya. Shashank Shende’s portrayal of a stoic yet loving father is deeply moving, while Megha Shinde charms with her performance as the cheerful blogger. Sanjay Narvekar leaves a lasting impression in his brief but impactful role.

The film is further elevated by its captivating cinematography and soul-stirring music, making the journey through scenic Konkan even more immersive.

Shri Ganesha is more than just a road-trip movie; it’s an emotional exploration of a father-son bond that will resonate with audiences. A heartfelt tale with a universal message, this film is a must-watch.
