Review : Tejas : Crashes mid air!
Indian armed forces are pride of our country. The uniformed personnel protects our country so that the countrymen can live peacefully. The Indian Airforce is known for it’s remarkable missions in wars. In the recent times there has been a phenomenal increase in terrorist activities from across the border and the Government and the armed forces take necessary steps to counter them. The Surgical Strike is the major example. On that event a movie, Uri : The Surgical Strike was made and it was a massive hit. Now Kangana Ranaut starrer Tejas is in theatres, showcasing the bravery of a female officer from the Indian Air Force.
Tejas Gill (Kangana Ranaut) is an IAF (Indian Air Force) pilot who thrives on dangerous situations. A staunch Deshbhakt, she even defies her senior’s (Aashish Vidhyarthi) orders to save a colleague in danger. A home made jet Tejas is a fighter plane and Tejas is an expert rider of a Tejas. Pakistani terrorist abducts an Indian businessman from Kabul on a suspicion of he being an a Indian spy. The terrorist sends a message that in lieu of him Indian Government should exchange some of their brothers-terrorists from jail. Authorities refuse and with the permission of PM (Mohan Agashe) a plan is hatched to save the ‘spy’ who actually is an ex IAF cadet. Tejas is given the responsibility to rescue him from Pakistani soil. What transpires later and in between forms the crux of the story.
Sarvesh Mewara who has directed Tejas has also written the story. It is beyond common sense and spiked with jingoism. The screenplay is tacky and barring few scenes it’s unimaginative and beyond logic. Today’s viewers are well aware of happenings around the world and to dish out something like this is insulting their intelligence. Attack on Ram Mandir was a stupid idea and it is one of the most absurd things in the movie. Technically film is sound but the background music is unnecessarily loud. Music is passable but cinematography is excellent. Kangana Ranaut is an excellent performer but her talent gets wasted in an uncooked script. She should have been careful after the debacle of Dhakad and should have chosen a better script and a better director. She looks good and have delivered a decent performance. Others are okay.
Tejas aircraft is the pride of Indian Air Force, but movie Tejas gets lost in the mid air.
