‘Romancing Hina Khan was a dream come true’, says Tanmay Singh! 

Actor Tanmay Singh, who made his Bollywood debut with Sanyoni, which was released at the fag end of the last year, will be seen romancing Hina Khan in a very romantic song ‘Patthar Vargi’. This song, which is a gangster love story, is presented by the T Series and has been sung by National Award winner B Praak and Jani. ‘Patthar Vargi’ is directed by Kamal Chandra.

Tanmay hails from Delhi and used to do, ‘Nukkad Theatre’, which prompted him to come to Mumbai to knock on the doors of the entertainment world. Blessed with good looks Tanmay is an fine actor which was noticed in his debut film Sanyoni. Sanyoni too had T Series’ backing and it seems T Series is taking proper care of their find. During the making of the film, the idea of this music video was thrown around and Tanmay was the first one to come on board. The concept of the song was shared with him at the time of shooting by singer Ranveer. He did like it instantly.

Meanwhile the producers Anurag and Vinay wanted to do a music video with him and he suggested Patthar Vargi to them. They all shared the idea with the T Series and, lo behold, the song is ready for release. Interestingly Hina Khan came on board and the project has gone notches higher. ‘Hina is a huge star and while working with her she didn’t make me or the unit feel about it. She’s extremely down to earth and is very intelligent. She knows her craft well and while shooting her inputs were beneficial to the entire filming. We both were on a same mental wavelength and that helped while filming this song. I did learn a lot of things just observing and watching her perform’, expressed Tanmay.

Hina and director Kamal had worked together earlier on Arijit Singh song and he was definitely happy to share screen with her so early in his career. The song ‘Patthar Vargi’ does not have any hook steps or regular romantic masala. The lyrics suggest that if there’s delay in expressing love to someone, it is of no use. It’s being insensitive. The shayari is immensely beautiful. “मुझे प्यार करना नहीं आता, तुझे प्यार के सिवा कुछ नहीं आता … दुनिया में जीने के सिर्फ़ दो तरीक़े नहीं एक तुझे नहीं आता एक मुझे नहीं आता”….

Tanmay is happy about the work flow he has as he has couple of more music videos lined up. He has auditioned for a web series and has been selected to play an important part. The Pandemic has put clogs on all shoots and his projects too are getting rescheduled. He is pained at the plight of daily wage workers in the entertainment industry and also feels that small actors too are financially affected due to lockdown. Tanmay Sings hopes for restoration of shoot activities as soon as possible, albeit all the safety precautions in place.

Tanmay Singh shows gratitude to the fact that he got connected with personalities like Mika Singh, Arijit Singh, Noora Sisters, B Praak in Sanyoni and now in his first private song he is sharing screen with beautiful actress like Hina Khan.
