Sab Satrangi’s Kangan Baruah says, “Gargi is like an onion, when you start dissecting her, her layers start to peel off’!
She is not your ordinary heroine; she is an embodiment of true strength and power. She is #SonySAB’s exclusive family drama #SabSatrangi’s #Gargi. Gargi (#KanganBaruah) is here to inspire us as she is probably the most headstrong woman in town. Her confidence and fearless attitude is here to blow your mind. God created everybody differently so that the world appreciates the difference and Gargi is that flower in the bouquet who will complete it and give it a nice balance.
Growing up motherless, Gargi is overly attached to her father, the great Daddy Khushwa (Satyajit Sharma), infamously known as the local don. She has never known what it feels like to have a complete family, although our girl is essentially fearless and has taught herself to be adequate in all situations. There is no denying that the Maurya family is an eccentric bunch and with Gargi’s decisive presence in the household, it is going to be an absolute treat to the eyes. Gargi is not just a pretty face, what makes her charming is her mindfulness, her confidence, her determination, and she is here to break your bones if you ever dare to cross her path. She is here to restore a happy balance in the Maurya family, and she is going to find a way to reach your heart as well!
One can say Gargi is very different from Manu. Manu (Mohit Kumar) is a true gentleman; we have all seen his chivalry and generosity showing up in every situation. On the other hand, Gargi is simply here to inspire everyone, especially the women and teach them to be decisive and confident with their lives.
Kangan Baruah, who essays the role of Gargi says, “I’m in awe of Gargi, this character is so aspirational that it gives me literal goosebumps while playing it. She is like an onion, when you start dissecting her, her layers start to peel off and you start loving the character all the more. I share a lot of common ground with her, she is actually the closest to what I am as a person. A small-town girl exuberating confidence and self-esteem is what the world needs to see now, and I am so happy that I get a chance to portray it. Sony SAB is too kind to create and paint such shows with such strong messaging that immediately gives that Khushiyon wali feeling, and I am happy to be a part of this family.”
We have always heard the saying “opposites attract” but can Gargi’s fearless attitude compliment Manu’s simple nature?
