Samer Singh Dawar reveals, ‘The music video Tujhe Dhunde Meri Jaan was shot in London when it was freezing cold!

Music videos have been trending for quite some time now. Many actors are doing music videos that are being lapped up by the audience. #SamerSinghDawar’s new song #TujheDhundeMeriJaan is being loved and appreciated. The actor and model says that listeners are liking the fact that the concept, music and execution of the track and even the video is on point.

“Tujhe Dhunde Meri Jaan is an emotion. It’s the voice of a man searching for his soul… The story is that of a boy, who dreams of becoming a singer someday, and a girl, who enters his life and supports him throughout. And she only leaves him when she realises that she can’t help him anymore and that he can only achieve whatever he wants if and when he grows up and hence, she was left with no other choice but to be separated. It’s a beautiful tale that travels through different emotions of life,” Samer shares the narrative of the song.

“I feel music videos today are not mere dance numbers but also conceptualised art forms where actors can showcase their talent. Some actors use this medium to explore the dancer inside them while for others it’s a way of conveying a three-hour film’s story in mere 4-5 minutes, without any dialogues. Tujhe Dhunde Meri Jaan is one such song and that’s what we have tried to achieve with it,” he adds.

Samer wanted to do a music video for a long time now. Before this song, he actually heard around 15-20 songs but only fell in love with this one after he heard the scratch of Tujhe Dhunde Meri Jaan and that too just 2 lines of it.

“It was such a refreshing tune which later turned out to be a beautifully written song with so much emotion and soul in every word of it. I couldn’t have asked more and let this opportunity slip away,” he says.

The music video was shot in London, in December, when it was freezing cold and the entire landscape was romantic, according to Samer.

About the feedback around Tujhe Dunde Meri Jaan, he adds, “I’ve only heard so many positive things about the track (smiles). As an actor, one is hungry for appreciation but the good part is that it is not just that Srishti Jain and my chemistry has been complimented but every element of this song and video is being cherished. The singer, the director, its story, everything is being appreciated and I believe when such a thing happens, it’s special. We are thankful for all the love.”

So what according to him is the USP of a good music video? “In layman’s terms, if the song is nice and the video is visually appealing, it’s a done deal. For me, the USP to a song is its composer and likewise that of a music video is its director who visualises the song, the story and execution where the actors have tried doing justice with it,” he explains.

For Samer, music is like a heartbeat. “It’s my recovery, motivation and meditation, all together. I would like to believe that I understand music quite well and that it understands me too. Being an untrained dancer, I managed to dance professionally for a long time because I could resonate with the beats and feel the music every time it plays. Listening to music helps me alter my emotions at any given time, if I feel low/defeated or if I just want to meditate or concentrate on myself, every time it is music that acts as an aid for me. There’s this scientific fact that I once came across that even a plant grows healthier when it’s constantly exposed to melodious sounds, I guess, it’s the same for every living being and I have nothing but massive respect for every artist who is capable of creating music,” he adds.
