Saurabh Kaushik opines on television shows, ‘When you drag something it does get monotonous’!
Jijaji Chhat Parr Koi Hai actor Saurabh Kaushik feels the entire concept of dragging a TV show because it has a dedicated fan following needs to end. Too much of anything gets boring in today’s time when people have a variety of mediums to enjoy content.
“What is the point of dragging a show for years when it can be put to an end at a good point? We can always have the next season coming with new twists and turns. Then they change the story all of a sudden to gain TRP and the inspiration at times comes from plots that have worked in other shows. When you drag something it does get monotonous. The season/series concept should happen more on TV. I am not saying some shows that are going on for a long time and have a good audience base should go off air. But this does not happen with every show is what we need to understand. We need to achieve a balance between creativity and business,” says Saurabh. Kaushik feels much like actors who are ready to experiment, show makers and channels can also do the same.
Talking more from the actor’s perspective he adds, “Today’s era is all about good content be it in films, web or TV. And good content requires actors to be open to new concepts and experiments. One needs to explore his or her talent to the maximum and prove himself/herself to the audience. Also, an actor does not want to get stereotyped and prefers playing different parts.”
