Shannon recalls, “When I met Bappi uncle on his birthday, he promised to call me soon for a song recording. Unfortunately, he fell ill shortly after, leaving us all in shock.” The sudden demise of Bappi Lahiri, a family friend for years, deeply affected Shannon and her family.
Turning grief into a tribute, Shannon K joined forces with Bappa Lahiri to honor the memory of Bappi uncle through the rendition of “Jimmy Jimmy,” one of the late maestro’s greatest hits. “Recording this song and filming the music video was an incredible experience,” Shannon shares, “Jimmy Jimmy has always been one of my favorite songs of Bappi Sir, and to pay homage to him through this project is truly special.
