Shivani Gosain believes her role in “Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya 2” is the most challenging role of her career. Shivani, who was last seen in “Naagin 5”, has joined Rajan Shahi’s and Pearl Grey-produced show, which is headlined by Pooja Gor and Arhaan Behll.Talking about her role in the show, Shivani says, “I am playing Sushma Tyagi wife of a Bahubali. I never played such role before. This is real challenging one. It’s completely different from the other characters that I have played till now. After a very long time this one is a performance-oriented role for me where I have to give my 100% to get into the skin of my character.”
Without revealing much about the characteristics of her role, Shivani says she can’t relate to Sushma Tyagi and that’s the real challenge. “I have to give my best to play such character which I know do exist in our society,” she adds. The actor says she has been a big fan of the show “Pratigya” and says it is a huge challenge for the entire team to live upto the expectations of the audience for the sophomore season.
“Season 2 is going to be more challenging for all us to match up to that standard. The best part is writer, creative and concept team is same and they are trying their best to make season two more interesting with same flavor but new twists,” she adds. Shivani shares when she heard the makers are toying with the idea of season two, she approached Pearl, who is also the writer of the show, expressing her desire to be part of the show.
“I approached Pearl in 2015 and said I would love to be part of such trend setter show and she sweetly replied saying right now they are not planning. But see it was destined to happen as I got call from DKP casting (Abhishek). I sent my selftest and same day I was finalized for the role of Sushma Tyagi,” she adds. Shivani is all praises for her producer Rajan Shahi and says she was waiting to collaborate with him.
“I have always heard all good things about Rajan ji from my friends, the way he gives a happy, comfortable compassionate atmosphere to his team to work and grow together,” she adds.
