Shobhit Johri says, ‘I believe in developing a strong will power and working hard t o have luck in my favour’!
His journey so far in showbiz has only helped #ShobhitJohri better his acting skills. The actor-entrepreneur shares that he has learnt to never give up and stay focused on the job.
“I have learnt that one has to keep trying. Failure and success is a part of our day-to-day life. Eventually, everyone gets their true worth. There are no shortcuts and hard work always pays off. My journey so far went as planned, though things got slightly derailed due to the pandemic, but then the entire world is dealing with this crisis. Thankfully things are slowly opening up and I am looking forward to getting back to the sets soon,” says the actor who has been a part of the film Bharat and web series Tandav, among others.
Luck plays an important role in one’s career. “But as they say ‘Fortune favours the brave’, hence I believe in developing a strong will power and working hard to have luck in my favour,” he adds.
Having a mentor in this industry helps, but it is not a necessary fact, feels the actor. “A mentor to guides you but if you don’t have one that does not mean you are at a loss. Also, a mentor can be anyone, not just essentially someone who belongs to the industry. I consider my papa as my mentor in every scenario of my life,” he says.
Describing his career goal, Shobhit says that he has just started to climb the mountain aiming to reach the peak. “Five years from now I would like to see myself having portrayed at least 90 % of the characters that I have in my bucket list. And let me tell you that the list is quite a long one,” he adds. Do you think the pandemic has made everyone rethink their career? “No, I don’t think so. Pandemic has just given us some time to relax. I believe once an actor, you are always an actor, so it did not make me thinking of other career options for sure. We all need to realise that things are slowly opening up and it’s time for ‘Action’,” he concludes on a note of hope.
