carrying a baby bump in this movie. Her Charcter of a pregnant women carrying 9 months baby moves the story forward. While prepping for this character she took inspiration from her favourite actresses who played pregnant women in films, viz. Vidya Balan in Kahani, Kareena Kapoor Khan in Good Newwz, and Priyanka Chopra in Marry Com. There are many more references who are inspiration for her.
Shreya says, “I ponder over the role before taking up anything that I poryray. I found this role very challenging and I like challenges. To know the character’s insights, feelings, responsibilities and the pain with the feeling of happiness of being a mother was a task and this everything coming together under one particular character is engrossing enough. I was quite emotional while doing this role as the feeling of motherhood brought various emotional aspects in my mind and heart while I was acting”.
She added, “I actually understood how a mother while carrying a baby for 9 months must be feeling. I actually cried in one of the scenes without using glycerine. This is a special feeling and a point in my life where I actually experienced it through the medium of acting. Shalan is very close to my heart.”
