Siblings Saurabh Gangal and Anushka Gupta’s ‘Koi Khata’ is a 3rd hit in 5 months!
Indian society is extremely ‘#musical’. Any function is incomplete without music. Even in sad times too music plays a role of a soother. In the midst of #Bollywood music, It is noticeable that in recent times music ‘singles’ have gained much popularity. There’s abundant musical talent in our country and as not everybody can sing for movies, the ‘singles’ have been the outlet to showcase one’s talent. One such talent is, actually a duo, #SaurabhGangal and #AnushkaGupta, who are siblings. They have been making music together and their latest ‘Single’ ‘#KoiKhata’ is a third hit in the last five months. It definitely is a feat.
Incidentally, ‘Koi Khata’ has been written too by Saurabh and Anushka together. The song, released by Zee Music this Friday, has been well received by music lovers and is getting more popular with each passing day. Their other two songs, namely- Naino Ki Shararat and Mere Sohne Soneya, released earlier this year, have already enthralled millions of listeners across the globe. And now comes this third duet which is proving to be even a bigger hit.
Five days…More than 23 lakh views….And still counting. This is the story of the latest sad romantic single ‘Koi Khata’ sung by Saurabh Gangal and Anushka Gupta. Well, this is third such story for the singer duo this year. Prior to this, the other two duets recorded by this duo and released earlier this year have also tasted the similar success. So, it is a three-in-a-row feat for the duo in five months and they obviously are quite happy and thankful.
‘Koi Khata’ that features popular hearthrob Vin Rana along with Kanchi Singh in its video version, has music composed and produced by Abhishek Gupta, while the video of this song- and the earlier two also- has been produced by Kumar Bupi under his banner Bignoise.
The success of their songs has filled the singer duo with an unmatchable happiness. Both of them having come from very humble backgrounds, it’s their hardwork and dedication only that are making things happen for them.
“It has been a long journey shaped up by my love and passion for music,” exclaimed Saurabh. “Music has been my love and life since my childhood and I started working towards honing my skills. And now the hard work has started bearing fruit,” he added. Saurabh says he always wanted to be a singer and kept on nursing his dream until time was ripe and opportunities came knocking.
The same is true for 22-year old Anushka, who has graduated with music as a major subject. She embarked on a journey to become a singer when she watched famous singer and her favourite Shreya Ghoshal performing live on stage in Delhi. And it was a sweet coincidence for Anushka years later when her first public performance as a singer was from the very stage where she had watched her favourite singer performing live.
Music is a lifeline for Saurabh Gangal and it proved to be literally true for him recently. He had been down with Covid-19 some time back and wasn’t feeling any strength left in him due to illness. Then he happened to listen to the famous song ‘Taal Se Taal Mila…’ from movie Taal and sung by Udit Narayan. The moment he finished listening the song, he felt as if the vibrations of the song had set everything right inside him. He started to feel better soon and recovered quite fast. “Listening to a good song, and that too sung by my favourite Udit Narayan ji is nothing less than elixir for me. I feel myself lucky to be born in an era of the likes of Udit Narayan and Arijit Singh,” comments Saurabh,
Both the singers are staunch believers in God and Karma. Saurabh says that he attributes all his suceess to the blessings of Almighty. Surabh has delivered hit songs- both solo and duet- in the past too, and is ready to provide music lovers with more soulful romantic songs in future also. And same is true for Anushka too who is determined to entertain music lovers with her melodious voice.
The musical sibling duo, Saurabh Gangal and Anushka Gupta, are already busy creating their next ‘single’.
