Sidharrth Sipani says, ‘Since my childhood, I have been attached to animals’
Actor Sidharrth Sipani, who came to fame with the television show Zindagi Ki Mehek, talks about his unconditional love for animals. Sidharrth, who is a busy industrialist and juggles between his work and passion (acting) currently has 5 dogs. He says,” Since my childhood, I have been attached to animals. I have rescued so many puppies and adult dogs from the road and given them for adoption. Animals are my world.”
During the nationwide lockdown last year, when stray animals were hugely affected because they had no food to eat Sidharrth took a very good initiative. He says,”I was at home in Assam and I found there were many monkeys and cows unfed. I started feeding them and also made a cowshed. After a while monkeys used to come to my home and wait for me to give them food. The whole experience of loving animals is very pure and it gives me a lot of satisfaction. At my Delhi house, I have 3 dogs – Bebo, Bullet and Myyash and in Assam, I have two – Candy and Laila. My life revolves around them. I have kept a trainer for them as they also need company whenever I am busy. Their comfort and wellbeing is very important for me and I cannot see them in pain. After a long day at work when I reach home their touch and love makes me refreshed. They all sleep with me on my bed.”
Sidharrth also has a plan to build a huge dog shelter in Tezpur, Assam. As he adds,” I have a dream to make a huge home for abandoned and stray dogs. I already have the land, let’s see when I can turn that into a reality. I also run an NGO – Be A Giver. I try to do this to the best of my ability to help needy people.” Sidharrth will be next seen in Fariha a web film which also stars Subuhii Joshii.
