Simaran Kaur shares her experience of hosting Pro Kabbadi League!
Host and presenter #SimaranKaur recently got the chance to anchor #ProKabbadiLeague and she loved it. She adds that she has experience in various roles and has enjoyed her career so far.
“I anchored for #ZeeCineAwards in which I covered the red carpet and curtain raiser. I also interviewed so many stars such as Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan , Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon and Nora Fatehi. I have also done news anchoring and recently I was a sports presenter as well. I anchored for the Pro Kabaddi League for Star Sports. I was also a host for a travel show India’s Best Resorts for Zee Zest and Zee5. I have done live shows for Amazon and HDFC Bank,” she says.
She adds, “Pro Kabaddi league was the first sports show and it was super exciting. I was so nervous before the show as this was something I had not done before. It was not rehearsed, totally live and impromptu…but I really enjoyed working for it…I watched the previous seasons of PKL to prepare and watched all the matches during the season on repeat, to learn and understand the game.”
Talking about her preferred language to host, she says, “I guess I am equally comfortable in both Hindi and English. I read a lot of books in Hindi and English. And watch shows in both languages. As a creative person. I really enjoy learning new languages and dialects.”
Talking about future plans, she says, “I want to anchor for one cricket event. I never thought I would be a sports presenter but post PKL I realised it is challenging, exciting, thrilling and exhilarating. I love Cricket and I would definitely love to be a presenter for Cricket matches.”
Meanwhile, she was also the voice of Nobita in Doremon. Talking about the same, she says, “I realised that I love voice modulation and mixing the tone and pitch of my voice. It really helped me to learn how to express different emotions. Doraemon is so close to my heart, being the voice of Nobita has given me so much love from my audience and taught me so much.”
