‘Simmba’ to roar once again in the USA
Rohit Shetty, who is famous for many blockbuster, is in news again. He hosts India’s most daredevil Stunt reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ which is much higher on TRPs. Talking about Khiladi, Rohit’s new ‘Cop-Universe’ film ‘Sooryavanshi’ has Khiladi Kumar I.e. Akshay Kumar playing the lead, which is awaiting theatrical release.
Rohit Shetty’s earlier ‘cop-universe’ film Simmba starring Ranveer Singh was a huge hit at box office.
Released in 2018 it was the third installment of Shetty’s Police Universe, the film was produced by Shetty under his banner Rohit Shetty Picturez and Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta via Dharma Productions. Reliance Entertainment also co-produced and distributed the film. It stars Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan, with Ajay Devgn reprising his role of Bajirao Singham in a cameo role. The film follows Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer hailing from the same town as Singham, who is forced to lead a more righteous path after tragedy strikes those near him.
‘Simmba’ is getting re-released in the USA. As US theatres are slowly reopening, films are finding their way back to entertain audiences on the big screen. The film is re-releasing in Regal Virginia Center and Regal Countryside, Virginia, USA. It will join couple of other Bollywood films like Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 and Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar.
Simmba, directed by Rohit Shetty, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan is all set to re-release in the USA, from 28th August 2020.
