Some of the grand moments to be witnessed in the Semi-Finale of Indian Idol Season 12!

#SonyEntertainmentTelevision’s #IndianIdolSeason12 will be seen putting together a specially curated semi-finale episode as it will mark the presence of the most talked about guest – #KaranJohar. A man with many talents in the film industry, will be seen enjoying the ‘Karan Johar Special’episode while the contestants put forward performances from his films. This episode will also mark the presence of digital sensation *Sahadev Dirdo* whose rose to fame after his rendition of the song ‘Bachpan Ka Pyar.’

When Karan Johar mentioned that Kajol asked him to shout at her – After Nihal Tauro’s performance on the songs ‘Koi Mil Gaya’ and ‘Ladki Badi Anjani Hai’, Karan Johar gets nostalgic and talks about how on the first day of shooting Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kajol asked him to shout at her because she was concerned for Karan. She believed that due to his soft personality, the crew on the sets would not respect him or follow his commands. Kajol then comes up with an idea and tells Karan that many people are scared of her because that is her reputation and insists him on shouting at her so that everyone present on sets take him seriously.

When Karan Johar revealed that Lata ji recorded four versions of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in one day – After Arunita Kanjilal’s performance on the title tracks of ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kalank’, Karan Johar reveals how during the recording of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the title track had four versions. One main song and the other were sad versions. He then goes on to say that the plan was to sing the title track on day one and the other versions on another day. But, to his surprise, Lata ji sang all the different versions in one day only and back to back. He will also be addressing Lata Ji as the ultimate, ‘Suro Ki Maharani.’

Arunita gets a warm welcome to the Dharma family! – The young and talented Arunita Kanjilal will be seen performing on three of Karan Johar’s iconic songs. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham by Lata ji, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai by Alka ji and Kalank by Shreya Ghoshal. After her performance, Karan Johar who experiences a rush of emotions, showers Arunita with humbling compliments. He will then be seen offering her a little confirmation and invite her to join the Dharma family so much so that he says that he would like to record a song with her this year and wishes that the song deserves her.

Pawandeep Rajan also gets an invite to the Dharma family – Pawandeep Rajan will be seen performing on ‘Ae Dil hai mushkil’ and ‘Channa Mereya’ which will leave the judges and Karan guest awestruck. A speechless Karan Johar praise Pawandeep and also wishes him the same success that Arijit received and welcomes him to the Dharma family.

After this, Sayli will be seen posing a question to Karan Johar where she asks him who hosts the best parties to which Karan Johar will be seen replying with ease – Shah Rukh Khan.

Social media sensation Sahadev Dirdo owns the stage of Indian Idol 12 – Creating a stir on social media with his quick video, Sahadev Dirdo has become an overnight session. His rendition of the song ‘Bachpan Ka Pyar’ became popular so quickly that he has become a social media sensation overnight. He will be seen gracing the semi-finale episode. Host Aditya Narayan along with the judges and fellow contestants will be seen encouraging him and sing the song as well making the moment a memorable one.
