Sonali Kulkarni captures the essence of life and human nature in ‘So..Kul Take 2’!
Celebrated actress Sonali Kulkarni has launched her latest Marathi book, #SoKulTake2, a collection of personal reflections and observations on everyday life and through her long illustrious cinematic journey. Through this book, Sonali offers readers a glimpse into her thoughts on people, places, travels, current affairs, and political situations, all while maintaining her signature blend of sensitivity and humor.
Building on the success of her first book, So..Kul, the second instalment continues to showcase Sonali’s ability to translate real-life moments into engaging narratives. Some articles offer lighthearted insights drawn from everyday experiences, while others present her heartfelt perspectives on social issues, including women’s empowerment, children and the invaluable role of house helps. The book also features deeply sensitive obituaries, reflecting her emotional depth and keen sense of human connection. The book launch in Mumbai was attended by #VishwasNangarePatil, Director general of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra, her editor, #AlhadGodbole and many other names from the Marathi and Hindi film fraternity.
Speaking about the launch, Sonali Kulkarni expressed, “My readership is as wide as my audience. Whether I am at a film premiere, a show or an event, I meet people who encourage me to continue writing. I love writing but my acting commitments and social causes take up a substantial chunk of my time and then writing often takes a back seat. This year, I hope to dedicate more time to it. I am also deeply grateful to Rajhans – my publishers and all my editors for their unwavering support & insightful guidance throughout this journey. So..Kul is an extension of me, a nickname, pseudonym or my brand of thoughts. As I live so I write”.
She added, “I would also like to thank my friends and colleague, Sonali Bendre, for taking me up on the offer of launching the book. I could not have had better representation as we all know that Sonali has a very active book club and she is a ‘book warrior’. In a world of dwindling attention span we certainly need this impetus”.
