Suvrat Joshi dubbed ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’ in London
Coronavirus pandemic has led to many different experiences. But actor Suvrat Joshi had a crazy experience. He completed his dubbing of ‘Goshta Eka Paithanichi’, which was shot before the lockdown, all the way in London. It is that interesting that the director of the film, Shantanu Rode, used to be present online through ‘Zoom’ during the dubbing, while the technicians at the dubbing studio in London were from Bangladesh and Poland.
Planet Marathi, Golden Ratio Films, Lakeside Productions has produced the film ‘Gosht Eka Paithanichi’. The film is produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, Abhayanand Singh and Chintamani Dagde. The film is written and directed by Shantanu Ganesh Rode. The film stars Sayali Sanjeev, Suvrat Joshi, Shashank Ketkar, Milind Gunaji in the lead roles.
The shooting of “Gosht Eka Paithanichi” was completed before the lockdown. The dubbing process of the film started after the government started unlocking. Accordingly, the dubbing of all the other actors was completed but it was not possible for Suvrat Joshi to come to Mumbai and dub. Technology came to their rescue and Suvrat completed dubbing in London.
Speaking about dubbing in London, Suvrat said, “I went to America for my Drama tour. But I had to postpone the tour because of a corona infection, so I moved to London. So my part could not be dubbed. Producer Akshay Bardapurkar took a bold decision and asked me to do my dubbing in London. Accordingly he found a studio in London and dubbing was completed. Director Shantanu Rode used to be present online through Zoom for this dubbing. Interestingly one of the technicians in the studio was from Bangladeshi and the other one was Polish. There was no question of them knowing Marathi, and so there was a language barrier. But even then, the experience of dubbing in London was great though it was really crazy.”
