Swapnil Joshi, Sonali Kulkarni and Prasad Oak come together for the first time in ‘Sushila-Sujit’!

Leading Marathi actors #SwapnilJoshi, #SonaliKulkarni, and #PrasadOak, the stars of the Marathi film industry, are coming together for the first time on the silver screen through the upcoming much-awaited Maratha film ‘Sushila-Sujit’. After its announcement two months ago and Muhurat last week at Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganesh Temple in Pune, the shooting is in full swing for the film to be released early next year.

The curiosity surrounding the movie, starting from its title, had stretched to the much-discussed question of who would play the roles of Sushila and Sujit. The producers recently revealed that Sonali Kulkarni would play Sushila, and Swapnil Joshi would play Sujit. After it, the excitement about the film skyrocketed as big names from the Marathi films are associated with the film.  Now, there are expected to be more announcements about other exciting aspects of the film in the coming days.

The Muhurat of the film ‘Sushila-Sujit’ produced by Swapnil Joshi, Prasad Oak, Manjiri Oak, Sanjay Memane, and Nilesh Rathi, took place last week with a visit to the Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati temple, Pune.

Swapnil Joshi and Prasad Oak, two actor friends, are coming together for the first time in this film. Additionally, since Swapnil, Sonali, and Prasad are sharing the screen for the first time, there is a lot of excitement about the movie. This is a production of Big Brain Productions and Panchsheel Entertainments. Prasad Oak, Swapnil Joshi, and cinematographer Sanjay Memane are collaborating for the first time to produce the film. Prasad Oak is the director, while Sanjay Memane is the cinematographer, and it is known as a successful combination. Ajay Kamble has written the screenplay and dialogues. The film is expected to release in 2025.

Sonali and Swapnil have been part of the entertainment industry for years, they never have had the chance to collaborate on a project. That changes with the upcoming Marathi film Susheela-Sujeet. In a first, the two actors will

be seen sharing the screen in the film, which is being directed by Prasad Oak.

Speaking about the film and the collaboration, Swapnil Joshi said, “Sonali Kulkarni, Prasad Oak and I are collaborating on a project for the first time ever. It’s exciting and there’s just so much creative energy in this project.”

Sonali Kulkami said that she wanted to work with Swapnil for long. “So, when Prasad narrated the script and told me that Swapnil was also acting in it, I jumped on board right away.”

Prasad Oak said, “Sonali and Swapnil is an unusual and fresh casting. Both of them bring their unique styles of performing to the table and that makes the process interesting.”

Swapnil’s upcoming project marks many firsts – a collaboration between him, Sonali Kulkarni and Prasad Oak, among other things. Speaking about how this project came to be, Swapnil said, “Prasad, Sonali and I have known each other for years but had never worked together. Prasad was to direct a film that I was to act in a couple of years ago but for some reasons, it didn’t work out. Then, Susheela- Sujeet came up and we jumped at the opportunity.”
